In BidWork you can create project and package templates to help streamline your work.

To create a template, you follow the same process as if you are creating a new project from scratch.

To create a new project, follow this guide. To distinguish your template from all your other projects in BidWork, we suggest naming the project accordingly, here are a few suggestions of names:

  • Master template
  • John's template
  • Office unit template
  • Residential development template

By adding the word 'template' in the project name, it will make it much easier when you are searching for this template later on to import into a new project or package.

Now that you have created the template project and named it accordingly. We need to add template packages into the project.

To create new packages, follow this guide. There is no need to add the word 'template' into the package names.

Name your packages as if this was a live tender and add any package codes you would usually associate with this package.

The last step to create a template is to add invitees into each package. To add invitees into your package, follow this guide. The main difference here is that we are not going to click 'Send' after we add the invitees into each package. We will instead leave them in the 'Not yet invited' state.

Once you have created all your packages, and added all the relevant invitees for those packages, then you can use our 'import' feature to save you time when setting up future projects.

To import a template into another project. Follow this guide. To import invitees from a template into a package, follow this guide.
