It is safe to say that transparency is one of the most important aspects of construction work. Especially when you are dealing with thousands of documents per project.


This is why document register feature is essential for your tendering process. In the past, contractors had to manually keep track of the documents they sent to their subcontractors.


BidWork allows you to issue document register automatically, when you send out the initial set of documents to the subcontractor.


What's more, BidWork sends out a document register every time you send out an addendum.


Here is how to activate Auto Drawing Register feature:


When you decide to create a new Project, you simply click on the New Project tab.



Then, once you populate all the mandatory fields, you scroll all the way down and you simply check the box that is called Auto-drawing register.



Then, when you send your Work Package to your suppliers, they will receive the set of documents, but they will also receive a document register in PDF form.


Here is what that form looks like:


You can, of course, download a version of the document register for yourself, as well. You simply go to the Package details page and scroll down a bit and you will find it. See the screenshot bellow:



Also, if you want to change the setting for the Auto-drawing register after you create a project, you can do that in the Project details page.


You simply go to the Project details page.



Then, you scroll down and click the edit button. Then, scroll all the way down and you will see the checkbox that you can untick.
