With BidWork you have the ability to either compare documents individually or compare multiple documents at once.
To compare documents individually please refer to this article.
When you have many document revisions, being able to compare all changes in bulk is really handy.
In order to be able to compare documents, you need to have added document revisions. In order to add a revision to a document please refer to this article.
Once you have multiple documents with revisions, you can click 'Auto-compare'
BidWork will show a list of all the documents that can be compared. If you want to compare all these documents, then click 'Continue'. If you want to refine the list, then Un-tick some of the documents you do not want to be compared.
BidWork will then provide you with a link in your email with the selected documents compared.
Please note the following:
- That Auto-compare supports Word, Excel and PDF only.
- The original version format needs to match the revised format file. Otherwise we will not be able to compare them.
- If the document has multiple pages and BidWork deems it to be a 'drawing' type and the amount of pages on the original document do not match the revised then we will not be able to compare this document.
