Preferred companies is a way for a main contractor to show who their current favourite is for the package. It's a nice way to clearly mark who is the current front-runner.
The preferred status is set by the contractor. No emails are sent out to the subcontractor/supplier. It is purely a way to indicate who the favorite is.
Let's see how you can mark a company as preferred:
1. Navigate to your desired package and click to select from the dropdown shown.
2. Alternatively, once you're inside your desired package, click on the invitee which you want to mark as preferred.
3. When you click on the invitee, it will open up their details on the right side. There will be a "Preferred company" checkbox. In order to activate this, you need to check this tickbox
4. Once you click on this checkbox, that precise invitee will be mark as preferred and everyone within your organization will be able to see it.
NOTE: marking a company as preferred does not send anything to that invitee. This feature is only for internal use. You can always revert the preferred status by simply unticking the tickbox
NOTE: marking a company as preferred does add to the statistics of a company, but if you change the status then the statistics will automatically update.
