Depending on how far along the work has gone, the status of each individual invitee (subcontractor/suppliers) will change. The status is actually the thing that moves the green chevron for both subcontractor/suppliers and contractor accounts. Let’s first observe the contractor's perspective:
1.Chevrons in contractor view
-Chevrons are located in the invitees list where you have an overview of all invitees within a package. These lists are located inside every individual package and can be reached if you click on the “Manage” button in your desired package.
Another way is to click on the arrow to the right of your desired package to open the invitees list in a dropdown menu. Now, let’s see the different statuses shown on the invitees list:
Sent - this displays the closing date of that particular package. If the invitee hasn’t yet opened the package then the green chevron will only colour in the "Sent" column.
Viewed - if the invitee has opened the invitation the column will be coloured in green and there will be a tick.
Downloaded - this will show a tracker indicating how many documents that particular invitee has opened or downloaded to their computer. The green chevron will colour in that column once the invitee views or downloads the first document.
Accepted - if the invitation was accepted by the invitee themselves, the green chevron will colour in that column and display a tick. If the invitation was accepted by the contractor in the name of subcontractor it will also colour in the background, however there will be a tick with a user icon. On hovering over that icon, it will reveal the details of who accepted that invite.
If the invite was declined by the invitee themselves, a grey chevron will colour in the whole row and display an 'X' icon in the accepted column. If the invitation is declined by the contractor in the name of the subcontractor it will display a user with an 'X' icon. On hovering over that icon, it will reveal the details of who declined that invite.
Has quoted - if the invite was quoted on by the invitee themselves the green chevron will colour in the "Quoted" column green and display a tick icon. If the invite was quoted on by the contractor in the name of the subcontractor it will display a user with a tick icon. On hovering over it, it will reveal the details of who uploaded that quote.
Edit - this column is only available to the contractor. In the edit column next to each invitee there will be a pencil icon. The pencil icon holds a menu of options that the contractor can click on to update the status of the subcontractor as they wish.
2.Chevrons in subcontractor view - the chevrons are shown in the enquiries list where the subcontractor/supplier can see all of the invitations that they have received on BidWork. There are multiple columns shown in this view:
Closing - it shows the closing date of that invitation. If the invitee has not yet opened the invitation then the green chevron will only colour in this column.
Viewed - if the invitee has opened the invitation the column will be coloured in green and there will be a tick.
Downloaded - this will show a tracker indicating how many documents you have opened or downloaded to their computer. The green chevron will colour in that column when the subcontractor views or download the first document.
Accepted - if the invite was accepted by the invitee themselves the green chevron will colour in that column and display a tick. If the invite was accepted by the contractor in the name of subcontractor it will also colour in the background, however there will be a tick with a user icon. On hovering over that icon, it will reveal the details of who accepted that invite.
If the invite was declined by the invitee themselves, a grey chevron will colour in the whole row and display an X icon in the accepted column. If the invite was declined by the contractor in the name of the subcontractor it will display a user with an X icon. On hovering over that icon, it will reveal the details of who declined that invite.
Quoted - if a quote has been submitted by either the subcontractor/supplier or the contractor in their name, the pencil icon will disappear and transform into a button called View quote. Clicking on the view quote will take you to the created quote. The green chevron will colour in the "Quoted" column.
